I am Minviluz Gellido a retired teacher . I am very fond of gardening . Before I was into tending ornamentals but because of the busy schedules I was not able to conti nue my hobby not until the start of the lockdown. I was able to start again but this time a combination of ornamentals and crops as well. I' ve been learning many things about agriculture since there were a lot of resources from the internet/ youtube and I guess it helped me a lot to try different techniques in growing crops and ornamentals . But little did I know that there is a TESDA website that's is giving free courses on this and I would like to try to test my skills in urban gardening since we have a small space at home where I could grow crops at least for our basic consumption.
At present I'm having a great problem in growing leafy greens since it is always raining. I'm producing leggy and thin seedlings . Growing eggplants was a failure .It grew flowers but when it starts fruiting, insects would attack. My only success was the chayote plant which is already at its fruiting stage . And I could see a lot of fruits on top of the tree's canopy from which it climbed up to the roof. hehehe.
I also planted lots of fruit trees , like guyabano, langka, rambutan, even lanzones .Now they are all getting bigger and I don't know what to do with it. I hope you can help me sell those .
