plant-based ingredients The plant-based industry has grown immensely over the past few years, making it readily available nationwide. With plant-based meat having lower calories and saturated fat while higher in fiber, enjoying a guilt-free burger at your favorite restaurant is not a problem anymore. It is created and manufactured to appear, feel, and taste like conventional meat from animal products.
Being highly processed, this option is far from perfect but when eaten in moderation with other source of vegetable-based protein -- chickpeas, lentils, tofu and quinoa -- this can be a healthy diet choice.
Plant-based meat is a very much healthier option to both environment and human health. Changing to vegetarian option while decreasing animal product consumption would bring a great effect to emissions and prevention of water scarcity. (Insider Intelligence)
